Last saturday (24 September 2011), The Gosthsicles played in Toronto, along with Detroit Diesel, Aliceffekt and  Skylightglare as part of the first NeuInstallation installment.

A memorable show was put on by all the performers, and the night was filled with energy.
A wonderful experience over all in a small venue which makes for a very comfortable and cozy atmosphere.

At the show I took some photos which you can view on my photo blog.

Skylightglare opened up the evening with a very impressive set. The club was still filling up at this point, but those that got there early definitely were in for a treat.

Aliceffekt followed. What a powerful array of auditory delights. All new tracks were performed live, and are available for free download on their website. The new tracks are part of Aliceffekt’s new album “Orchestrate the sixth season“. Look for the download link on that page.
After Aliceffekt finished off with an encore by playing a cover of Memmaker’s Sale Traitre Detroit Diesel took over the stage.

Detroit Diesel is another group from the province of Quebec, Canada and they took the crowd “to another dimension” (to quote The Prodigy).  I had seen Detroit Diesel over a year ago for my first time and loved that show. This time it was even better. Deadbilly’s style of vocals makes for a great show to watch.

And the headliner The Gothsicles wrapped up the night. Brian “DarkNES” Graupner had so much energy and personality on stage and the crowd loved it! It was unfortunate that the video screen cut out near the end of their set, but the lack of the video took away very little from their performance. They were a delight to watch especially when Brian joined the crowd during several songs and sing amongst the attendees.

Thank you to all the bands for giving us such a beautiful and memorable experience, and thank you to the NeuInstallation organizers (ISN Radio, and Neurodance) for setting up this evening of performers.

Looking forward to the next NeuInstallation!
